Hi, Eileen,

I recently used the Favors website to find some favors for a ladies luncheon where each table was undertaken by different people. Thus different themes, colors and the works. None of the ladies do it as a profession (I don't think) except myself whose been in the floral wedding business since 1988. Anyway, I've been doing my friend's table for some years now. She tells me what theme she wants, we talk about the accessories which she gets and I do all the flowers. I'm actually an semi-retired now; never had a shop but worked out of my home. I'd like to try to sell off most of my stock as a business, but that hasn't worked out yet. Maybe one of your readers might be interested.

Eileen, I’m really looking forward to your blog! It will be a valuable resource to anyone planning a wedding (not just those on a budget), as your ideas and advice are based on years of experience. And, of course, we know your ideas will be hot, as you have proven yourself to be a trend-setter in the industry (“Perfect Pair” anyone?).

Eileen, I think your timing is right on the mark... the latest economic downturn has resulted in quite a "reality check" for many people. Hopefully, we all will be rethinking how we are investing our hard earned funds. Desperate times may call for desperate measures, but there is no need to sacrifice creativity in the process. If anything, there is a much higher reward to be gained when you know you pulled off a million dollar look on a serious budget.

We just had a wedding in the family (I am now officially someone's mother-in-law!) -- I am here to testify that you can live (and yes, PARTY) on a dime, as long as you have someone with your talent on board to hold your hand through the process.

Kudos on bringing "cents and sensibility" back to weddings once and for all!
