If the guests still fall clueless and insist on bringing along their children with them, call them just before the wedding and explain why children need to not be attending the wedding. Educate them a little about wedding etiquettes.Admit it. The sad reality is that a lot more and far more brides, and grooms too, do not like the concept that children will probably be coming over to their weddings.

Hi Stephanie, I think this centerpiece would be very nice for a tea reception, especially using the lemons in the vases and fall colored flowers on top.

Another idea is to do centerpieces in tea pots (ask friends and family if they have some cute ones or check out the local thrift shops). You can use my instructions above on how to do a cute centerpiece that would work in a teapot.

Thanks for the helpful, practical advice. My friend is getting married in September….she’s planning a classic tea reception. What would you suggest for classy, yet reasonably priced centerpieces?

Judy, in answer to your question, in really depends on which flowers you are using. If you are using Peonies, which are large blooms you would need less flowers, 5 stems would be enough. For the Flower girl, 3 would do. You’ll enjoy seeing this example to help you visualize the bouquet. In this case, they used roses as well, so less Peonies would be needed.

I am getting married in November but I believe my shower will be in the summer. I really want floral centerpieces at my shower but I know they can be very costly. I love this idea and think that its a great inexpensive way to have small centerpieces with real flowers on each table.
